NANO-UV Life is a division of NANO-UV looking after X-ray sources and their related product. The division is based at the NANO-UV facilities in Paris, France.

NANO-UV is a well established leader in the development of high brightness radiation sources in the EUV and X-ray spectral range.
Building on our many years of experience on pulsed power and plasma applications and our groundbreaking technology, we have perfected a very compact and very bright X-ray source which can make lab based water window X-ray microscope a reality. The exceptional high brightness of the CYCLOPS™ micro discharge plasma source is due to the intrinsic light collector and PlasmaLens™ technologies.

A long held dream

McXI™ (Microscope X-ray In-vitro) is a family of soft X-ray microscopes. McXI™-II, the first in a range of high performance table-top soft X-ray microscopes, and future versions will challenge the world’s best microscopy techniques. NANO-UV Life has pioneered the development of these compact, soft X-ray source designed to operate in the water window regime (2.3-4.4nm), benefiting from the NANO-UV proprietary technology and expertise in the development of high brightness light sources.
